Advent Calendar Number Button Set

This set of 25 stitchable number buttons is perfect for making an Advent Calendar. Decorate your knitted advent gift holders - I made a set of cute tiny socks that are perfect for holding small treats and goodies, but you might come up with a different cool idea! Use the numbers to mark down the days (and gifts!) until the big day.

These unique tags have holes to stitch in your numbers and have the outline of the number laser etched around the holes so can easily figure out which number you're working on.

Your buttons will arrive un-stitched so that you can sew them onto your project with your own yarn or embroidery floss. The holes are small so you may want to use only one or two plies of the yarn to fill it in if it your yarn is super thick.

These buttons can go in the washer and the dryer, but as with most things made of natural materials, they will probably last longer if they are hand washed or if the item is dried flat.

My basic mini sock formula was:

1. Cast 8 stitches onto each of 4 DPNs. (32 stitches total)

2. Knit 2, Purl 2 rib for 8 rows or approximately 3/4"

3. Knit for approximately 20 rows, or 2"

4. Short row heel over half of the stitches

5. Knit for 16 rows or approximately 1.5"

6. Decrease one stitch at either end of each needle until I have two stitches left on each needle

7. Break yarn and with a tapestry needle sew through the 8 remaining stitches, cinch and weave in the end.
