Katy's Favorites Bundle
Katy's Favorites Bundle
This bundle contains six of the tools and accessories I use the most. These are the ones that always seem to find their way into my project bags! I'm confident you'll love them as much as I do.
And when you buy these as a bundle you save 5% over what they'd cost separately!
You'll get:
Center Pull Yarn Ball Winding Tool
Why I love it: I'm constantly re-balling my smaller scraps so they don't turn into yarn barf as I knit. In combination with a kitchen scale, this tool is helpful for winding one skein of yarn into two equal balls for sleeves or scrappy socks. Fun fact: This tool is inspired by a nostepinne, which is a traditional winding tool that originates from Scandinavia.
Pattern Placeholder
Why I love it: Looking back at photos, I see that our Pattern Placeholder is probably my most used Katrinkles tool. I think I have one in every project bag! I need all the help I can get with remembering where I am in my project, and luckily this tool has my back. It's sturdy and it doesn't slip - pretty much exactly what you need in a placeholder. The fact that it's cute doesn't hurt either.
8" Needle Gauge
Why I love it: Having an 8" ruler means I almost never need to find a tape measure. 4" is great for gauge swatching, but 8" is ideal for seeing where I am with sleeves or sweater length. Plus, seeing cm and inches close together helps me visualize when I need to convert. Also, most of my knitting happens at the very bottom of the needle size range (000-2), so the fact that this one goes down to 000000 means EVERY size I use is well represented. Lastly, we cut the tool along the grain, so it's almost indestructible; I can throw one into every project bag and not worry about it!
"This is the back" Backside Tags (set of 4)
Why I love it: Look at that little sheep tush! It's adorable. These tags make me smile and they are a super smart addition to sweaters, especially if you're knitting for someone like my sartorially challenged husband, who appreciates the assistance in telling front from back. I also love that these are made from a plant-based, washable faux suede, which is soft, resilient, and environmentally responsible.
Write On / Wipe Off White Stitch Markers (set of 6)
Why I love it: There's a special place in my heart for any tool that serves more than one use. These writable, erasable stitch markers are useful for so many tasks: progress keeping, tracking where I need to do brioche increases and decreases, marking unique crochet stitches, or tagging mistakes I need to go back to- all without the need to put down my work to look for paper instructions. Using a permanent marker, labels are clearly legible against the white acrylic and stay that way until you wipe them off - then they come off cleanly with a bit of rubbing alcohol.
Sheep Shawl Cuff
Why I love it: Okay, obviously I have a thing for cute, fuzzy sheep. I also have a thing for shawls (you can see where this is going). I wanted to make something that could be tossed in a bag without worry, and without taking up space, and that you could pull out and easily use to hold a shawl in place when you want, and quickly take off when you don't. And I wanted it to look great on all styles of knits. And it does!
